Daniel Goldstein is a medical oncologist and internist at Rabin Medical Center in Israel, as well as a Professor in Medical Oncology at Tel Aviv University. He is also the medical director of drug and technology policies, in the community division of Clalit Health Services. In this role, he is responsible for developing policies that impact 4 million insurees. His clinical focus is treating patients with genitourinary cancers. He received his medical training at Leeds University, UK, followed by a residency in internal medicine at Montefiore Medical Center in New York and a fellowship in hematology and medical oncology at Emory University, Atlanta. His area of research is in the economics of cancer care both in the USA and around the world, focusing on cost-effectiveness, budget impact and affordability. His work has been reported in major news outlets such as the Wall Street Journal, Washington Post, and the Economist
